A diner, sandwich eatery, coffee shop and bank could be coming to the Wheeling Town Center, the anchor for the village’s first downtown along Dundee Road.
This northern suburb has long lured diners to its popular 3-mile-long Restaurant Row along Milwaukee Avenue. But despite its gastronomic prominence, the village of Wheeling has no real downtown, even though it was founded in 1894.

Construction of Wheeling Town Center, a transit-oriented, mixed-use development, is well underway at 351 West Dundee Road. Next to Wheeling Metra Station, the project will feature over 300 high-end apartments and 100K SF of retail.

Wheeling Town Center’s retail, restaurant and entertainment venues will be anchored by a new high-end dine-in movie CMX theater. CMX is an American subsidiary of Cinemex, the sixth-largest movie theater chain in the world.
